KABUL: The Afghan government has imposed a nationwide curfew to prevent Taliban attacks.
According to a foreign news agency, the Afghan government has imposed a nationwide night curfew to curb the growing influence of the Taliban and prevent attacks, but it will not apply to three provinces, including Kabul and Nangarhar.
According to the Afghan Interior Ministry, curfew has been imposed in 31 provinces of the country from 10 pm to 4 am. The purpose of the curfew is to prevent Taliban attacks and movement.
On the other hand, the Afghan Ministry of Defense says that the Taliban have been defeated in all provinces, Afghan forces are armed in every way and the government is taking control of Taliban-held areas on a daily basis.
According to figures released by the Afghan security forces, 262 Taliban have been killed and several others wounded in the past 24 hours, but the Taliban have denied any casualties.
